Marijuana college in Detroit
Nick Tennant, a 24-year old businessman from Detroit, has founded a school where residents of the American state Michigan of can learn how to grow medical marijuana.

Tennant came up with this idea after his garage went bankrupt. “There is a high need for employment in Michigan. Medical marijuana can help to create hundreds of new jobs and in doing so generate millions of dollars”, says Tennant in the New York Times.

Recently legalized

The fee for the course is about 485 dollars. The course lasts for six weeks and includes the lesson on growing marijuana. The only obligatory reading for the course is the growing manual “Marijuana Horticulture”, written by Jorge Cervantes (also available at Shayanashop ed.). Growing medical marijuana has recently been legalized in several American states, for example in Michigan. After having obtained their doctor’s permission, patients are allowed to own up to 12 plants.

One of the course’s students is Sue Maxwell, who takes care of a ill 85-year old woman. “I don’t know yet if she is interested in using medical marijuana, but I am sure it would help her”, claims Maxwell.
