DMAE - Dimethylaminoethanol Bitartrate
DMAE enhances concentration and is beneficial for the nervous system.
DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol) is a substance naturally produced in small amounts in the brain and also found in anchovies and sardines. It combines powerful protection of healthy cells and tissue with a stimulating effect on thinking and learning processes.
DMAE’s powerful cell and tissue protecting properties can be attributed to the fact that this supplement is an efficient anti-oxidant, that reduces harmful oxygen particles. DMAE is able to combat free radicals outside and within the cell wall.
It is the only known agent shown to reduce the accumulation of lipofuscin, a toxin associated with aging, in the cells of the brain, heart, lungs and skin. Liposfuscin is a type of metabolic ‘waste product’ made up of fragments of damaged proteins and fatty acids.
DMAE increases acetylcholine and choline levels within the brain. Choline is a precursor for acetylcholine, an important neurotransmitter involved in muscle control, memory, and many other functions. By stimulating the production of acetylcholine, use of DMAE supplements can result in an increase of memory, concentration, alertness and energy.
DMAE is naturally found in some foods. It is a highly bioactive nutritional precursor to acetylcholine, a key neurotransmitter.
